OUR STORY
Motivated by a common purpose and inspired by the desire to chart its own course in pursuit of engineering practice excellence, KKLA was formed in May 2007.
The team at KKLA has since grown significantly with its current engineering team strength having 6 Registered Professional Engineers. The company prides itself in being able to involve very experienced engineers in the design of all its projects. The combined past exposure of its engineering team includes the design of major building and civil engineering projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Australia, and Dubai.

FOUNDER/MANAGING DIRECTOR
LIM KOK KIM
Mr Lim graduated from Monash University with BE(Hons) in 1982 and MEngSc in 1985. He started his career in Melbourne where he was involved in the design of several prominent tall buildings in the 80’s. He migrated to Singapore in 1991 to join TY Lin International and was the Head of Building Department when he left to set up his own practice in 2007.

DENNIS ONG CHIN LOCK
Er. Dennis Ong graduated from Brighton Technical College (UK) in 1962 and started his career with Ove Arup in 1962 as a design engineer working on the Sydney Opera House. He was transferred to the site in 1965. When Ove Arup started their Singapore office in 1969, Dennis was engaged as their Managing Engineer.
Dennis was a partner in the newly formed Houkehua Consulting Engineers in 1970 which became HCE Engineers Partnership in 1988 which subsequently merged with KKLA.

OOI SIM THUNG
Mr Ooi graduated with BE(1st Class Hons) and BEc from Monash University in 1991, and MSc from NUS in 1998. He started his career at TY Lin International in 1992 and was a Principal when he left to join KK Lim & Associates in 2008.

YEO SEOW BON
Mr Yeo graduated from the National University of Singapore with BE(Hons) in 1993 and MSc in 1998. He started his career in construction at Woh Hup Pte Ltd before joining TY Lin (SEA) in 1994, where he served 14 years and was a Principal when he left to join KKLA in 2007.

DR. MADAN BIKRAM KHADKA
Dr Madan graduated from Tongji University Shanghai with BE in 2001, Masters in 2003 and PhD in 2006. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Foreign Students’ Scholarship provided by the Chinese Government.
Dr Madan joined KK Lim & Associates in 2007. His expertise is in earthquake engineering and the design of tall buildings. He is the chief designer of the curved towers in Reflections at Keppel Bay, Singapore.

LEELYN YAP
Leelyn obtained her BSc(Civil Eng) at the University of San Carlos, Cebu, Philippines in 2003 and her Masters at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2005. She graduated at the top of her class and obtained 1st place in the Philippines Civil Engineer Licensure Examination.
Leelyn joined KKLA in 2007. Her expertise is in the design of steel structures and was the chief designer for the alternative design for Fusionopolis and the upgrading of Meritus Mandarin Hotel.
